A CNG gas pressure gauge is an essential component of natural gas vehicles. Installed on the inlet valve connecting the CNG pressure regulator to the gas cylinder, its primary function is to display the pressure of the natural gas inside the cylinder. An internal gas pressure sensor transmits the pressure signal to the fuel/gas conversion switch in the driver's cab, allowing the user to monitor the gas volume in the cylinder.

A matching indicator light-type conversion switch is also included. When the onboard gas tank is full (pressure 180-200 bar), all four green indicator lights on the conversion switch on the driver's cab are illuminated (red light off). When the pressure drops to 165-155 bar, the fourth green light goes off; when it drops to 130-120 bar, the third green light goes off; when it drops to 90-70 bar, the second green light goes off; and when it drops to 45-35 bar, the fourth green light goes off, and a red alarm light illuminates. At this point, the gas in the tank is sufficient for the vehicle to travel 15-25 kilometers (depending on the vehicle model). A digital conversion switch is also available.
